Caffeinated

Magpie Tales

Caffeinated
All aspects are fueled
Antiquated brick, sweat, and soot
Miles of concrete tread before me
Cacophony of the streets
Leaves me restless for peace
Upon distant memory
Longingly its virtues linger
Right now this light is taking
Forever

Ha! I don't think you live in New York, but a good New Yorker's take on any wait! I love that "light" has so many different meanings here--as in awakening and GREEN!

Why does so much in our lives come down to the traffic? My Magpie Tales this week is In Vince’s Car.

Brakes screeching, horns blasting and impatient people cursing . . . I prefer the woods.

I gave the prompt a miss this week.

I enjoy how the ending gives the sense that the photo might be in 2-d only for a second longer.
