Open Arms

Visit Magpie Tales

Thunder in my head
Strikes hard

Voltage of memories
Wash over me

A down pour
Cleanses my soul

Soothed from the adversity
Brought into my inner circle

I work so hard to repair or avoid
Yet
I am left with sky tears

Changing its pace
Like each wave of emotion

It’s hasten drum beat slows
Eventually silent

Even that last drop has faded into
A new memory
