Day One - Foggy

Yesterday was our start day. The summer is winding up. We’ve had incredible heat and humidity and yesterday it collapsed under the veil of some powerful storms. They raged with fury all night but I couldn’t keep my eyes open long enough to be moved by their power. Today I sit on my deck and enjoy the reprieve from the heat. The birds are singing and the cicadas are humming. Everything is dew covered and shiny from the rain.

I won’t lie I am in a fog. I eyelids are heavy. My skin is breaking out but I am encouraged. I ate a ton of food yesterday 100% plant based. All the fruit and vegetables and water I could take in. We calculated its caloric content and we achieved 800 calories.

We cleaned out the fridge and removed all the nutrition-less carbs from our surroundings. Honestly, I am not even tempted by any of it.

I recorded my first video log for yesterday it came it at three minutes. I have not posted it yet to my blog because I am not sure what I am doing. Like I said I am in a fog.

Kristen, I don't understand. Why are you in a fog? Is it the food, the heat, the anticipation?

Regardless, hope the fog lifts and you are well.

Very exciting! YOU GO, GIRL!

Oh, and the feeling of "being in a fog" is really normal at this point. Your body is dextoxing now, so you will feel sluggish for a few days. Soon the fog will lift though, and you'll feel great! Stick with it--I'm cheering for you! :)
