Locked Out

Mystic Music cushions my ears

Lying shamelessly

Forgotten tears

Abilities and finalities

Crazy senilities

Plated green iridescent armor

Fight, biting, breeding and eating

Sevin kill many to kill a few

Something I just can’t do

Let it be, what is it to me?

Locked out of my life

By circumstantial misery

Looking in the key hole

Faintest flicker of light

There is goodness there

Where darkness surrounds fear

A speck of strength is all it takes

To make it through

Sevin-10 Bug Killer Dust! There is a reason my mother cautioned me never to sprinkle when windy!

Beautifully written....

Astounding poetry, it has a beautiful melodic rhythm and a timeless, moving message beating in its heart. Wonderful magpie :)

I like your style. And the thought-provoking story unfolding in this poem, like here:

"Plated green iridescent armor
Fight, biting, breeding and eating
Sevin kill many to kill a few
Something I just can’t do"

Hi Kristen, I comment here because it seems Magpie 26 is the sequel to 25! 'Killing many to kill a few'. What happens in divorce, but sometimes it is necessary to make it 'new and crisp, sharply defined'.
